We at IIP Foundation believe that Human activity that is harmful to the environment can cause public health crises, render areas uninhabitable, and otherwise reduce standards of living on a societal or global scale. When people protect the environment, they are protecting themselves and their future as well.
The best way for people to help the environment is to focus energy on making small, everyday changes. We can reduce the amount of resources that we use on a daily basis. We can do this by turning off lights and by not driving when it is not necessary, using re usable stuff at home and office.
You can also make changes in your school, workplace, and family. You can help your friends and family make more environmentally conscious decisions. The most important thing you can do is making sure to waste less. Try not to buy things that are likely to be thrown away after a single use.
There are a number of ways in which we can do this. Some of the best ways to do this are captured in the slogan “reduce, reuse, recycle.”
We can reuse things instead of throwing them away. When we buy things like food in plastic containers with lids, we can later use the containers to store leftovers. We can recycle things instead of putting them in landfills. This reduces the amount of landfill area that is needed and it also reduces the amount of new resources that must be extracted from the earth.
At IIP Foundation, we believe that Sustainable living is essential for preventing humans from exhausting Earth’s natural resources, including fertile and arable land, breathable air, and drinkable water. We are organizing and supporting Community tree-planting programs that can help clean the air as well as provide shade and eliminate heat islands, which are zones within a city where the sun’s light and heat cause the ground to heat up excessively. Trees can also eliminate certain types of environmental contaminants.
